40 CUPS PROJECT was an endeavor to help artists facing dire financial emergencies due to COVID-19. All net proceeds from the sales of these cups were matched dollar for dollar by a donor (who chose to remain anonymous) and were donated towards artist relief. Together we raised $5000 for CERFplus.
Story behind this project:
Early this summer as I worked on the yunomi challenge, enjoying my creative time in the studio, I started to hear stories about the devastating impact of the virus on the livelihood of some of my fellow artists. Really wanting to do something to help, I decided that these cups, created during quarantine, should go towards assisting artists in need. Thank you all for your support. and for making this endeavor such a success.
