An upside about making time to play and experiment is that one isn’t working on a deadline, so if, at the end of a full work day, the takeaway is that what I tried didn’t work, that is a great lesson in itself.
Today after finishing some kurinuki pieces, I worked on the idea that first popped in my head while I was typing last evening’s entry. So following that vision, I made a bunch of solid rocks, stacked and balanced them. Tomorrow I will start hollowing them out and see if I can join them into a meaningful form. Who knows, this might be a stepping stone in a new direction, then again, maybe not. I shall find out tomorrow.
